About Me
I'm Dave Hirschman. Welcome to my web site, Homeschool Media Network, home of the Homeschool Social Register and other resources for homeschoolers. I'm a retired software engineer with over 25 years experience. I was a founder of Phoenix Technologies Ltd. and Connected Corporation. My wife and I unschooled our two boys from 1994 to adulthood. I wanted to give something back to the homeschooling community, which has added so much to our lives. This web site allows me to do that, and also gives me a good excuse to have a lot of fun writing software! I hope you find that in some small way it supports your own homeschooling efforts. I developed the site in 2001, so it's getting kind of dated! Presently I'm learning Drupal and have used it to implement a web site for my Home Owner's Association and a few other little projects.
